Meet MaxContact: John Burnett

As part of our Meet MaxContact series, we're turning the focus on ourselves and our clients to give you a little insight into the people that make up MaxContact. This month we want to introduce you to John Burnett, our Customer Success Manager.

Without further ado, here's a little more about John:

Tell us about yourself

I moved over from the UK in 2013 to follow the Ashes (I can't remember the score) and I'm now fortunate enough to call the Sunshine Coast my home. I have a fiancé, Renee, and a 3-year-old son called Jack. We recently just built our first home and on the weekends you will more than likely find me on the golf course.

How long have you been with MaxContact?

This is my first week.

What is your death row meal?

British Fish and chips, drenched in salt and vinegar, with a side of mushy peas and curry sauce... topped with tomato sauce.

Favourite dad/mum joke?

I don't have a favourite dad joke as it's very off the cuff - my favourite 1 liner is:
Did I already tell you my Alzheimer’s joke?

Favourite sporting team?

Portsmouth FC - As standard as standard can be. Be at the top midway through the season and then miss the playoffs.

Favourite playlist/podcast at the moment?

Erik Anders Lang (EAL)  - My favourite episode recently is this one with Iona Stephens. Great insight into professional sport and journalism. You can listen to it HERE.

Go-to karaoke song?

Bon Jovi - Living on a Prayer.

Top 3 celebrities (dead or alive) that you'd invite over for dinner?

Tiger Woods, Ryan Reynolds, Ricky Gervais

Favourite movie quote?

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that."

Top 3 concerts you've ever been to?

Eminem, Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks.

The first destination on your travel list when we open up again and why?

Back home to the UK to see the family as it's been over 3 years since we have been home. They last saw my son when he was 5 months, and he is now over 3.
